Since more a decade, Opto-lab develops and produces imaging and opto-electronics instrumentation for scientific analysis and investigation. Among these :
-Spectra measurement on surfaces
-Colour measurements
-Reflectography from UV to NIR
-Telephotometry from UV to NIR
The instrumentation manufactured by Opto-Lab is widely used in several fields : art, industrial, pharmaceutical, alimentary and biomedical. Opto-lab has been the first company in the world who has realized the first commercial reflectography system based on a solid state detector (spectral range of 380-100nm) and an integrated motorized filter wheel .
This product had been introduced the first time at ICOM Conference in Dresden in 1990. Since then many versions have been realized and sold all over the world. Our infrared reflectography systems have been successfully used for more than 15 years by Restorers , Research Institutes, Museums, Private Foundations, Antiquarians. This technique allows to image elements under the pigment surface like preparatory drawing, repentances, restorations, which cannot be investigated by other means.
Different version of reflectography systems have been realized for forensics investigations on documents, manuscripts, cheque, bills. A more sophisticated instrument has been realized for telephotometry measurements applied to pharmaceutical, biomedical, art and alimentary field. Telephotometry combines digital imaging with spectra measurement up to single pixel
on surfaces with size from a fraction of millimeters to several square meters. We are proud to assert that some of our estimated customers have used this technique developed and patented by Opto-lab for spectra measurements of art masterpieces.
In addition our telephotometry instruments have been used a in pilot projects for melanoma's diagnosis in important National Oncology Centers. These studies have allowed to elaborate a very effective diagnostic procedure, making possible an accurate screening on wide portion of human body in a very short time.
